Todd's Biography

Todd's Resume

Born in Georgia, Greene has spent most of his years as a Nashville, Tennessee, resident. Having earned a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, he worked for the YMCA in Northern Ireland where he painted a 20’x 8’ mural and created an outside sculpture.

Since then, Greene has been pursuing a career in the Arts. The past eight years he has been an artist in resident at the Downtown Presbyterian Church, one of the oldest buildings in Nashville. He has produced numerous solo and group exhibitions. Greene has five plus pieces in the Tennessee State Museum’s permanent collection. His work appeared in Time magazine in 1998 and he was named one of Tennessee’s Best Artists winning a purchase award at the 2001 Best of Tennessee Art Competition.

His introspective work speaks of spirituality and struggle, as he uses mixed media on both canvas and paper for his creations. Greene recently won third place in the 2003 DIG through Art Competition with his entry, “Easter Basket.” In addition, he was a finalist in the Central South Art Exhibition and is an applicant for several international artist grants and residencies.
